On June 2, 2026 the SECASSURED project participated in Workshop 12: Advancing Network Digital Twins (NDTs) for AI-driven 6G Systems: Insights, Applications, and Cross-Project Synergies at the EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 in Málaga, Spain. The workshop brought together leading European research initiatives to discuss how Network Digital Twins can accelerate the development, operation and security of future AI-native 6G networks.

Representing SECASSURED, Wissam Malluoli (Montimage) presented the project’s vision for AI-based security services for trustworthy 5G and 6G systems. The presentation highlighted how SECASSURED combines AI, security assurance and digital twin technologies to strengthen cyber resilience throughout the lifecycle of next-generation communication infrastructures.

The workshop featured contributions from numerous European research projects covering topics such as AI-enabled Network Digital Twins, cybersecurity digital twins for critical infrastructures, knowledge graphs, network programmability and adaptive synchronisation. By bringing together experts from complementary initiatives, the event fostered discussions on interoperability, scalability, AI explainability, data governance and secure deployment of Network Digital Twins across different application domains.

SECASSURED’s participation demonstrated the project’s commitment to advancing trustworthy, secure and resilient AI-native networks. The project’s work on AI-driven security services complements the broader European effort to develop intelligent Network Digital Twins that not only optimise network performance but also provide continuous cybersecurity monitoring, threat detection and automated security assurance.

The interactive panel discussion concluded with a strong emphasis on continued collaboration between European projects through joint experimentation, knowledge exchange and future standardisation activities. These cross-project synergies will help accelerate innovation and support Europe’s leadership in secure, trustworthy and AI-enabled 6G communications.
